The first of the GAS sponsored overseas tour program took place in Japan!! The tour visited Tokyo, Toyama, Noto Peninsula, and Kanazawa, visiting museums, educational institutions, workshops, and historical sites. There were 31 participants from all over the world. The purpose of the tour was to provide an opportunity to experience Japanese glass art and culture and to strengthen connections between the international glass community in Japan and abroad. I have been planning this event for 15 months, and I would like to thank the many glass professionals who have been involved in the planning of this event. Thank you very much.
